brothers Justin KAMBALE MULI and Nelson NZANZU MUHESI, expressed their perpetual vows of Poverty, Chastity and Obedience
Last Saturday, January 31, at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish in Kitatumba, two of our Brothers in the Assumption, Brothers Justin KAMBALE MULI, from the Marc Champion Community in Mahamba, and Nelson NZANZU MUHESI, from the Good Shepherd Community in Beni-Kasabinyole, made their perpetual vows of Poverty, Chastity and Obedience. The Mass was said by Father MUSANGANIA KOMBI Jean-Paul, African Provincial of the Assumptionists, surrounded by around twenty Assumptionist priests and a few deacons. It saw the participation of a good number of religious men and women, and some lay people including the Choir of Missionary Children of Alzon from the Marie Échelle du Paradis Base Parish and the friends of the elected officials of the day. In his homily, commentary on Jeremiah 1, 4-10 and John 15, 9-17, the Father Provincial particularly invited them to always remember that vocation is an unmerited gift from God. Better, he told them that, like the prophet Jeremiah, even before they were conceived in their mothers' wombs, God knew them and had chosen them to serve them in the Assumption and in the Church. It is indeed He who will enable you, the Provincial added, to always respond yes to his call to the gift of self for the advent of his Kingdom. We say congratulations to them all!
