Sunday, December 14, 2025: Surprise Visit of the Oblates at Maison Quenard: The Call to Charity Concreted

Third Sunday of Advent, Gaudete Sunday, joy is close to each of us! After the recollection organized by Cosuma Butembo-Beni, under the theme “Fix your gaze on Jesus Christ, he will take care of you”, an animated theme by Father Jules Bobe, of the Congregation of Rogationists, the Gervais Quenard Community had a surprise visit from around fifteen Oblate postulants of the Assumption, accompanied by two of their formators. It was a way of concretizing the call made by the preacher during the homily.

Indeed, he will send us to share with our loved ones the joy of being in the presence of Jesus who heals all illnesses. In any case, this courtesy visit allowed the applicants to put the names of Faustin-Jérôme Mughongo and Jean-Bon Kahindo Nzandu on the faces. The joy was at the top for everyone! There was no compassion towards our sick brothers. Finally, we encourage such surprises which are in the spirit of our dear founder, the Venerable Father Emmanuel D'Alzon. Family spirit must always characterize us! Thank you to the community for the flexibility in welcoming!
