PROVINCE COUNCIL APRIL 2026
From April 10 to 11, the mid-term Provincial Council was held in the Chapter Hall of the Provincial House. The vast majority of members were in person while others were by videoconference.
The general objective of holding a Provincial Council is not only to keep the supporting body informed of the orientations of the Provincial Chapter of the progress of current applications, but also to seek the consent of this body for some necessary adjustments and/or to inform it of new developments. This mid-term Council consists much more of a rereading of the mission entrusted to the Provincial in its Council by the Provincial Council. He then recalled the need to prepare for the next Provincial Assembly. This brings together, if necessary, all the religious of the Province to inquire about the progress of the Province following the guidelines of the Provincial Chapter and to anticipate new questions requiring in-depth reflection in the next Chapter.
In view of the decisions voted at this mid-term Council, the urgency was to ensure that the budget year which began in January was lived according to an approved consolidated budget and the planned projects were really carried out. It was also a question of soliciting the assistance of the members of the Council for the follow-up of a project stopped ten years ago.
The Council was held to the satisfaction of all members following a well-balanced timing.
